Dangerous Waters

The pearl, a symbol of wisdom, owes its existence to the flaw at its heart, the speck of grit around which the layers of pearl essence form. The metamorphosis takes many years in deep, dark, dangerous waters, symbolic of the unconscious. The search for this particle of true grit becomes the search for one's self.
