I Feel

This painting was executed with a butcher knife as are many from this point onwards. I is feeling and reacting rather than being the passive object. When traumatized, survival often depends on the ability to numb the pain, both physical and emotional. However, one's feelings are all connected, as the pain is stuffed in a box so is the pleasure. When the shame is hidden, the ability to feel pride is lost, too.
