Reflective Light Rhythms is a series of reflective patterns placed
in the windows of Spokane Valley’s University High School Library
in 2001-2002. Each of the 14 window sets have intricate geometric
designs that interact with the other designs while accentuating and
blending into the rhythms of the glass, pillars, and brick of the
architecture. The rhythm of reflective designs and landscape seen
through the clear glass creates a dramatic and kinetic light experience.
Day or night, those viewing the North facing artwork will experience
the ever-changing nature of reflective light. For students within
the library the designs simulate the subtly of stained glass windows.
